Texas Tech University: 100 Reflections

Owner: Texas Tech University
Architect: Randy Walker Arts
Project Type: Ground Up
Location: Lubbock, Texas

OPREX Construction is honored to have played a key role in bringing "100 Reflections" to life, an iconic centennial gift that celebrates the rich history and legacy of Texas Tech University. Officially dedicated on October 19, 2024 during the first Homecoming of Texas Tech’s second century, the sculpture stands as a lasting tribute to the university's 100-year journey. Located between the Student Union Building and the Southwest Collection/Special Collections Library, the installation consists of 100 meticulously crafted pillars, each featuring polished, reflective Double Ts symbolizing every year of Texas Tech’s history.

Designed to be more than just a work of art, "100 Reflections" is a uniquely Texas Tech landmark, destined to become a gathering space for students, alumni, and families to create memories, take graduation photos, and celebrate their connections to the university. OPREX Construction’s dedication to quality, precision, and collaboration ensured that every detail of this meaningful project was executed to perfection. The project reflects OPREX's passion for creating spaces that inspire and honor the communities they serve, making it a point of pride for both the company and the Texas Tech campus.
